You're invited to DISC's Mentoring Pods this year! We'll meet on the first Monday of each month from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. EST on Zoom (link below), from September through April.
Please note: Because September 7 is Labor Day, our first session will be held on Monday, September 14.
Got a dissemination and implementation science idea or question? Bring it to the group and let's talk it through together! Whether it's a current project, a grant proposal, or something you're stuck on, no idea is too "half-baked" to share. You'll break into small groups where D&I researchers will offer feedback and support as you work things out.

Implementapalooza is an implementation science event of intergalatic proportions! Whether you’re new to the field or a seasoned expert, this event is for explorers at every stage. Implementation science turns discovery into direction: it’s the map that helps transform bright research ideas into real-world results and shows us how to get there, step by step.

What to expect

Join us for a keynote talk by María E. Fernández, PhD, an internationally recognized expert in implementation mapping and Vice President of Population Health and Implementation Science at UTHealth Houston, where she also serves as founding Co‑Director of the Institute for Implementation Science, Lorne Bain Distinguished Professor of Public Health and Medicine, and Director of the Center for Health Promotion and Prevention Research. Other activities include:

  • Hands-on skill-building workshops (Implementation Science 101 & Implementation Mapping) 

  • Lightning talks featuring implementation research at Pitt 

  • Networking & tabling by Pitt partners
